Policies & Procedures
Charters are often scheduled a year in advance so plan ahead to make
reservations as early as possible in order to ensure the desired date. A
deposit is required to hold reservations.
DEPOSITS
Advance payments may be made with cash, money order, cashier's check,
traveler's check, personal or corporate check. One half of the estimated
charter fee is required to reserve the vessel and the balance, along with
the damage deposit, is due 21 days prior to departure. The reservation
deposit must be received no later than (7) days after the reservation is
made or the reservation will be canceled. Please supply a passenger list
as far in advance of boarding as possible. A damage deposit of $250.00 to
$1000 (depending on the function) is required. Since the charter fee
includes only an estimate of the fuel use, the deposit will be refunded
when refueling is completed and any damages assessed.
CANCELLATIONS
This is a very seasonal business with little walk-in trade and
necessitates a very firm cancellation policy which is: REFUNDS, OTHER THAN
ESTIMATED GAS, DAMAGE DEPOSIT, CATERING FEES, AND TAXES WILL NOT BE MADE
IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION WITHIN 30 DAYS OF CHARTER OR EARLY
TERMINATION OF CHARTER BY CUSTOMER. However, with 30 days written notice,
you may: 1. Reschedule anytime with a $250 rechedule fee, 2. Receive
credit for your deposit to use in off peak season or any open date in peak
season with two-day notice or, 3. You may cancel entirely with a $500
cancellation fee. Rescheduled charters under scenario #1 or #2 will be at
the current or original rate, whichever is higher. Charters canceled due
to weather conditions considered by captain to be unsafe, may be
rescheduled, however, no refund of prepayment will be made. Charters
canceled by TMS due to equipment failure will be refunded or rescheduled
per customer's instruction. Cancellations must be rescheduled within 12
months.
SUPPLIES & ACCESSORIES
TMS will provide USCG approved life jackets for all
adult passengers. Endless Summer has numerous floating devices for
swimmers including noodles, inflatables, and pads. Any passengers needing
or wanting to wear a personal flotation device while swimming, will need
to bring their own. All bedding and linens are supplied for up to three
queen beds. Bring whatever you may need in the way of consumable kitchen
supplies such as paper towels, napkins, foil, garbage bags – both large
39 gal. and tall kitchen, etc.. In order to conserve on limited water
supply and reduce labor, you may want to consider disposable plates and
eating utensils although dishes are available. Otherwise, bring whatever
personal items including bath soaps, shampoos, suntan lotions (no oils),
first aid kit, beach towels, fishing equipment, binoculars, etc. that you
may need to make your stay enjoyable. It has been our experience that most
customers bring far too much food and clothing. Remember, storage space is
limited for large groups and to avoid overcrowding from baggage, it is
suggested that considerable thought be given to what is actually needed,
both in the way of food and clothes. If you have a cellular phone you may
want to bring your charger, either 110 (while generator is running) or
cigarette lighter adapter. If you have any questions regarding what you
might need to bring, please inquire.
FOOD ARRANGEMENTS FOR HOURLY CHARTERS
TMS wants their customers to have the greatest flexibility possible,
regarding food arrangements, for their events. Accordingly, customers may
bring their own food to serve their guests (no red wine or drinks with red
dye allowed, no bottled beverages other than wine, cans are preferred) or
they may have TMS manage catering the event, except for alcohol. If the customer chooses to provide the
food, they must also provide ALL serving utensils, bowls, platters,
baskets, paper towels, napkins, etc. or for a $20 flat fee they may use
all of the extensive inventory of serving equipment on board the boat,
excluding eating utensils and disposables. Additionally, they must also
provide any serving help needed or they may elect to utilize the services
of TMS staff @ $15.00/hour. If the customer chooses to utilize the
equipment on the Endless Summer, all equipment must be left in the same
condition as received. In any case, the kitchen should be left clean, as
found, or a fee will be imposed as indicated below. Arrangements for any
of the the above services should be made at the time charter is contracted
and any charges will be identified on contract.
PRE-BOARDING
Customers planning an overnight package have the option of boarding the
night before departure from the marina, for an additional $100/couple
(maximum charge - $300). This is especially nice for those coming in from
out of town. You may arrive no earlier than 7:00pm and no later than
10:00pm. Endless Summer will not leave the dock until the following
morning.
TIME SCHEDULES
Departure and return times are set during initial charter arrangements
and will be complied with unless prior agreement by TMS. Hourly customers
requesting boarding at other than VIP Marina will be charged the travel
time to and from the requested location. On package charters, passengers
may start boarding at 11:00am of the first day and must disembark by
6:00pm of last day. On hourly charters, passengers may not board more than
30 minutes prior to departure and must disembark no more than 30 minutes
after docking to avoid additional charges unless previous arrangements
with TMS have been made. If additional dock time should be needed and is
available, either before or after the charter, it will be charged at ½ of
the hourly rate in effect at the time and will be deducted from the damage
deposit in lieu of other arrangements. Time will be charged for each 1/4
hour or any part thereof. Departures delayed by customer will not extend
return time. Time can only be extended if Endless Summer is not scheduled
for a subsequent charter.
OTHER PROVISIONS
Customer is responsible for all fuel used on the charter. Take this
into consideration when planning the amount of time you want to be
underway. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE UNDER 18 ALLOWED WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT AT
THE TIME OF CONTRACTING THE CHARTER. If any guests arrive with children
under 18, without prior arrangement, they will not be allowed to board and
no refunds given. No pets allowed w/o prior arrangements. Smoking is the single biggest
factor in damages incurred and customers are encouraged to caution guests
engaged in this activity. Damages can be very costly. Smoking is not allowed
on Endless Summer.
All Trash must be contained and boat must be left in reasonably clean
condition or $250 cleaning fee will be charged to customers credit card or
taken from damage deposit. Travis (large dog) is part
of our standard crew. Anyone with dog allergies or an unusual fear
of dogs should call in advance for details and special arrangements.
ILLEGAL DRUGS
Illegal Drugs are never allowed on TMS vessels.
Drug possession aboard ship is grounds for vessel confiscation by the
authorities. Customer bears full responsibility for vessel
replacement due to violations resulting in confiscation during a charter
or rental. Smoking is not allowed on or within 3 feet of the boat.
